Dear Backers
We are thrilled to announce that our demo day at Silver Cord Studio in Queens, New York was a huge success! We showcased our headphones to a group of backers and customers and were blown away by the positive feedback we received.
During the demo day, attendees had the opportunity to try out our headphones and provide us with their thoughts and suggestions. We were thrilled by the response, with many attendees raving about the look and sound quality of our headphones. We even captured some of the reactions on video, which we are excited to share with you.
Based on the feedback we received at the demo day, we are considering hosting another demo event with a more refined version of our headphones. We will keep you updated on any plans for a future demo event.
In our last update, we mentioned that we were making great strides with the tooling for our headphones and were thrilled to have received a positive first feedback from our manufacturer. We are happy to report that this progress has continued and we are excited to share a few photos of the early tooling with you. We are confident that our headphones will be of the highest quality and can't wait for you to experience the incredible design and sound quality for yourselves.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended the demo day and for your support of our project. Your feedback is invaluable to us and will help us continue to improve our headphones.

Welcome to another Heavys update.This time we’ll be focused on progress with tooling, audio development and our latest samples we got from our manufacturing partner. This update will be shorter than usual as we are still in the midst of tooling; however, we anticipate providing another update at the end of December with further progress.
Tooling progress ⚒️
Production of the tools necessary for mass-producing Heavys headphones is well underway. Our team, headed by Axel Grell, will be traveling to China to assess the overall progress and inspect the first tooled samples. This is a momentous occasion for Heavys and an essential milestone in our journey to mass production.
We need a variety of tools to produce the various parts of the Heavys headphones. Designing a mold tool is an intricate process, as the injected plastics alter their shape while they are cooling. Moreover, the manner in which the molds detach from the injected plastics determine the 'draft angles' and other factors which must be taken into account when designing the parts. The mold tools have been designed and signed–off and our suppliers are now producing the tools.
Schedule 📅
There has been no change or update to our scheduled timeline. Tooling is progressing as planned, parts are expected in the coming weeks, sub suppliers confirmed to fulfill our orders on time and we can expect the first samples from around mid January (before Chinese New Years).
Audio development 🔊
On the audio development we focused on sound, electronics, and acoustics. Axel has written the algorithm and set the parameters to power our sound dosimeter and proprietary loudness technology, resulting in improved sound stability and a louder sound from the replacement of a separate power amplifier. We have also changed the location of the microphones for better ANC and a higher quality experience for phone calls/communication, with wind noise minimized as a result.
Our low-distortion transducers offering a natural sound with minimal distortion. Developed in collaboration with our technology partner in Denmark, these transducers are the product of Axel's 30+ years of driver design. They are highly durable and capable of withstanding long-term use.
We have also established our reliability standard to test the mechanics, electronics, and acoustics of the headphones. Once we receive the first batch of samples from our tools, we will begin rigorous testing and share some of the process with you along the way.
Samples
After a lot of hard work and effort, we are pleased to announce that we have finally achieved the sound quality and loudness we were aiming for. We have adjusted certain components to ensure that the sound quality is not compromised while still providing you with the desired loudness. It took longer than anticipated, but we can assure you that it was worth the wait.
As you can see from the images above, the fit and finish of the headphones is not yet perfect, and we will continue to work on perfecting it. Nevertheless, we are delighted with the current results.
